Harnessing the knowledge and expertise of the Reserve’s keenest wildlife observers, a set of ten educational information boards have been installed around the lake.

The boards provide a wealth of information on how the birds hunt, where they can be spotted and some of the characteristics that make each species so unique.

Starting at the Northern Lake boardwalk, visitors will be able to find each of the boards as they walk around the Northern Lake and hopefully spot some of the featured birds.

There are 10 boards in total:

• Consequential
• Open country migrants
• Open country residents
• Seed-eaters in the grass
• Sky hunters
• Bringing lost birds back into
• the landscape
