Welcoming the Caulfield Commons Art Wall

In collaboration with students from Monash University, we are delighted to soon unveil a new art space that celebrates local creativity. Nestled in the existing building overlooking the Northern Lake, this space will showcase seasonal installations from both local artists and students.

Our first installation, Caulfield Commoners, features a vibrant and joyful mural by Ching Liang, a contemporary storyteller in her third year studying Bachelor of Fine Arts and Richard Monger, a ceramicist, fine artist and sculptor in his graduate year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours.

Created in collaboration with Monash University’s School of Fine Arts with the support of the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust, the mural vividly depicts the features of the local environment and centres around the Northern Lake and its inhabitants. Ching and Richard have sought to create a visually compelling piece that reflects and enhances this important ecosystem and encourages a deeper appreciation of the natural world.
